TLD Announces Its Support of the Yamaha MX2 Team

Troy Lee Designs is pleased to announce its support of the 2020 Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team as the team's official team helmet & gear sponsor.

Troy Lee stated, “We have been looking for the ideal Team to partner with to compete in the FIM Motocross World Championship series so when the opportunity came our way to work with the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team we were stoked. We work closely here in the US with Yamaha’s apparel division and I have been working with Monster for a very long time so this was the perfect opportunity to expand TLDs’ global athlete program. I can’t wait to see Geerts and Watson out there representing TLD”.

Following the official announcement of Yamaha Motor Europe's reformed Racing Strategy back in August 2019, the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team is all set for an exciting 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship season.

The re-establishment of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team bolsters Yamaha's 2020 Racing Strategy with the team lining up two title contenders in the form of Jago Geerts and Ben Watson. As one of only three race winners in 2019, reigning bronze medalist Geerts will line up for the new season on Yamaha’s cutting edge YZ250FM as a title favorite, while Watson will be out for redemption after an injury-struck 2019.

For the first time, Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. has aligned its Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team livery, with Yamaha Motor USA’s Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing team. The alignment highlights Yamaha Racing’s worldwide partnership with Monster Energy and works to boost Yamaha Racing’s global image.

The 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship will consist of 40 races and will take place over 20 rounds starting March 1st at the spectacular Matterley Basin venue in Winchester, England.
