ROBERT DOMINATES AT WORCS ROUND 3

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Taylor Robert solidified his third-straight World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) victory on Sunday with a dominant performance at Round 3 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. FMF/RPM/KTM Racing Team Maxxis rider Dante Oliveira finished second overall behind Robert to score a career-best finish in the Pro division. Robert powered his KTM 450 XC-F to a second-place start, where he challenged Zach Bell for the lead in the opening laps. Robert got around Bell on lap four and the duo engaged in a close battle for the next few laps. Robert eventually broke away and rode his own race out front to ultimately secure the overall win by a minute-and-a-half. Robert: “I just got out front and ran my own race. The track was super rough and you had to be really smart out there because of how gnarly it was – there were square edges everywhere and really deep sand whoops. All-in-all I felt great, my bike worked great and I’m happy to keep the momentum rolling and win the first three races of the season. The next round is my hometown race so I’m looking forward to that one as well.” Oliveira got off to a top-five start and he quickly moved his way into third by lap three. From there, he charged hard to overtake second by lap eight and he rode to a strong finish, coming in a minute-and-a-half behind Robert for second overall. In the Pro 2 division, FMF/RPM/KTM Racing Team Maxxis rider Austin Serpa finished on the podium once again with a third-place in the class. In Pro 2 Lites, KTM riders swept the top-six positions with Tyler Nicholson at the top of the class. Thomas Jones finishes second and KTM-supported rider Brandy Richards rounded out the podium with an impressive third in the class. Round 4: Peoria City, Arizona – March 22-24, 2019
